Rough Brothers is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic team.

The Group Human Resources Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, oversight and success of a broad range of Human Resources activities with a focus on meeting the needs of the Group as it relates to compliance and daily administration of functional areas within a complex multi-state business environment.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role will provide support across multiple locations and companies within the Rough Brothers Group, and manage a team of 3 direct reports.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Recommend, implement and update Human Resources policies and procedures across Segment.
  • Ensure and review Company compliance with all existing federal, state, and local requirements including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affordable Care Act (ACA), Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and other relevant employment laws and updates.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations as necessary.
  • Maintain key controls related to Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) with adherence to established processes and guidelines.
  • Coordinate sharing of information across Corporate and Field Human Resources teams.
  • Oversee the design and management of recruitment strategies and processes related to search firms, screening, interviewing, selection and hiring for all positions, ensuring the Group's ability to recruit local, regional and national top-tier talent.
  • Maintain integrity of Human Resources Information System (HRIS) data and reporting functionality
  • Provide Human Resources support in the areas of ethics, compensation planning, performance management, talent management, headcount management, leadership development, staffing, absence management, employee relations, and labor relations through the Human Resources team.
  • Oversee Workers Compensation Administration and OSHA Compliance including: timely reporting of work-related injuries to worker's comp insurer and/or OSHA, assist with accident investigations and risk analysis, coordinate employee medical care and work with Managed Care Organization (MCO) and insurer to efficiently close the cases.
  • Work with management to develop and maintain Company Safety Program as it relates to business operations in General Industry and Construction.
  • Navigate through difficult situations with ease including; conflict resolution, employment separations and terminations, and administering disciplinary procedures. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Maintain compliance record-keeping including statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates. Document attendance, time-off requests, non-scheduled time off, personal changes, salary changes, and other changes as needed.
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters and recommended practice
  • Respond to routine internal and external requests for information and/or reporting.
  • Proactively address and respond to organizational development opportunities by bringing key stakeholders together to assess root causes and performance gaps, implementing and/or supporting implementation of appropriate interventions, including tactical and project planning, facilitation, instruction, program design, materials development and performance analysis.
  • Oversee Payroll Administration & Reporting including completing required review and approval of all inter-company payroll
  • Provide support of global HR teams, as needed, on business matters related to global teams or employees with international assignments and related HR matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • 3+ years in Managing Teams
